I am very exited to announce that from the Month of July I will be moving into the Glacier Ice Cream & Gelato kitchen to make my productions. This will allow me to access the kitchen as much as I need and have a retail store as well. Mark and Deborah Reese offered me this great opportunity to help me in my adventure in Chocolate, they have been my biggest supporters since the beginning, and I am extremely grateful to them for this.

The idea for DesiderioChocolates was born when Vanessa started making chocolates for friends and family. Word of mouth spread quickly and soon they were asking about buying her chocolates.

In the past four years she has created many new shapes and flavor combinations. Because of her artistic background, she has integrated her love of colors and metallics with her passion for chocolate.

Vanessa was born in Rome, Italy. She has a diploma in industrial design and has worked as a pastry chef in Frascati, Italy. While working with the Baker's Association of Rome in the restaurant and catering business, she had the opportunity to work closely with some of the big names in the Italian pastry world. She also worked as caterer and pastry chef in a reknowned vegetarian restaurant in the historic part of Rome.

At this time she is enjoying her new baby boy born December 2008, and trying to combine family needs and chocolates.
